How to Get Naloxone (Narcan) in Los Angeles

Naloxone is available in Los Angeles County through multiple channels. CalRx Naloxone is available over-the-counter at participating pharmacies for $19 per twin-pack — no prescription needed (calrx.ca.gov/naloxone/). Free naloxone is available through the LA County Overdose Prevention program at laodprevention.org/naloxone. The California Naloxone Distribution Project (NDP) provides free naloxone to community organizations, law enforcement, schools, and harm reduction programs. California AB 635 allows laypersons to obtain and distribute naloxone under a standing order.
